Partnership terms

What we agree to when you register your business on Onor. These terms apply to the business and to every team member who uses the portal.

Last updated: September 2026 · Version 2026-09
01

Scope of the partnership

Onor is an intermediation platform connecting families with funeral homes. By registering you agree to have your business shown in search, to declare your services and prices, and to receive booking requests through the platform.

The contract for each service is formed directly between you and the family. Onor is not a party to that contract and does not itself provide funeral services. These terms, together with the Privacy policy and the partnership plan you choose, form our agreement.

02

Registration and verification

Registration is completed by a legal representative of the business using its tax number. The details are verified automatically against the AADE registry and completed by you.

  • You declare that the business holds every licence required to provide funeral services and that you will inform us if any of them lapses.
  • Before your profile is published, the Onor team performs a legitimacy check and an in-person visit to the premises. Supporting documents may be requested (operating licence, representative details).
  • The profile is published only after approval and may be withdrawn if the details prove inaccurate.
03

Account and team members

The business admin can invite team members to the portal and set their role. The business is responsible for every action taken from its members' accounts. Remove anyone who leaves the team immediately and inform us of any unauthorised access.

04

Profile, services and prices

  • The profile information, services, packages and prices you declare must be accurate, complete and up to date. Prices are final for the family and include VAT.
  • The prices shown at the time of booking are binding for the bookings you confirm. Additional services are agreed separately with the family.
  • You declare which ceremony types you support (religious or civil burial, cremation, memorial, repatriation); you appear in search only for those.
  • You hold the necessary rights to the photos and text you upload and grant us a licence to display them on the platform and in its promotional material.
  • Onor may fix obvious formatting mistakes or ask for clarifications, but does not change prices or services without your consent.
05

Bookings

Every booking request is sent to you immediately. You commit to confirming or declining it within the deadline shown in the portal; requests that expire unanswered are recorded and affect your ranking.

  • On confirmation the booking is binding. You receive the family's contact details and take over direct communication and delivery of the service with due care and discretion.
  • The service is paid by the family directly to you; you issue the legal invoice.
  • You may not bypass the platform by asking families who found you through Onor to cancel and agree outside it.
06

Fees and invoicing

Registration and the basic presence on the platform are priced according to the partnership plan you choose at registration or agree in writing. For each booking Onor charges the family a service fee, shown to them clearly before they submit the request; it is not deducted from your remuneration.

Fees due by the business are invoiced monthly to the billing details on your profile and are payable within 30 days. Pricing changes are announced with at least 30 days' notice.

07

Cancellations

  • The family can cancel freely before you confirm. After confirmation, their request is reviewed by the Onor team together with you.
  • If you cancel a confirmed booking, inform the family and Onor immediately. The service fee is refunded to the family by Onor; any deposit you have received is refunded by you.
  • Repeated cancellations or unanswered requests may lead to a temporary withdrawal of your profile from search.
08

Ranking in search

The order in which funeral homes appear is determined by the distance from the area the family is searching, the ceremony types you declare, the completeness of your profile (photos, services, packages with prices) and, once enabled, family reviews and your response time to requests. We do not sell preferential positions; any promoted listings in the future will be labelled as such.

09

Families' data

The personal data you receive through the platform (family details, details of the deceased, documents) you process as an independent controller, solely to perform the specific booking and to meet your legal obligations.

  • You do not use the details for marketing and do not pass them to third parties beyond what the service requires.
  • You comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and inform us without delay of any breach involving data from the platform.
  • In turn, Onor processes the business's and its members' details as described in the Privacy policy.
10

Memorial pages

Families can create memorial pages (announcements) that refer to the funeral home handling the ceremony. If you opt in as an affiliate for announcements without a booking, your profile may be shown on them for ordering wreaths and related items. You can opt out at any time from your profile.

11

Suspension and termination

You can withdraw your profile or end the partnership at any time with 30 days' notice, fulfilling the bookings you have already confirmed.

  • Onor may suspend your profile or end the partnership for inaccurate details, loss of a required licence, serious or repeated complaints from families, bypassing the platform, unpaid fees or a breach of these terms.
  • Before any suspension or termination we inform you in writing of the reasons and give you the opportunity to respond; termination takes effect 30 days after the notice, unless the law or the seriousness of the incident requires immediate action.
  • For any complaint about the operation of the platform or a decision of ours you can write to info@theonorapp.com; we reply within 10 business days.
12

Liability

The business is solely responsible for the services it provides, for the accuracy of the information it declares and for its compliance with the legislation that governs it. It indemnifies Onor for third-party claims arising from a breach of these terms.

Onor makes every effort to keep the platform available, without guaranteeing uninterrupted operation or a specific number of requests. To the extent permitted by law, Onor's liability towards the business is limited to the fees it paid in the last 12 months.

13

Changes to the terms

We may update the terms as the platform evolves. Every version carries a date and a number (see above). For material changes we will inform the business admin by email at least 15 days before they take effect and, where required, ask for renewed acceptance through the portal. If you do not agree, you can end the partnership before they take effect.

14

Governing law

These terms are governed by Greek law. We seek to resolve any dispute first through discussion or mediation; otherwise the courts of Athens are competent.
