Who we are

Onor is a Greek platform that helps families find and compare funeral homes, services and prices. The controller of the data described here is Onor.

What data we collect

We collect only what is needed for the service to work:

• Contact details: full name, phone, email.
• Request details: area, type of service, date, notes you fill in.
• Account details: password in encrypted form, saved funeral homes, request history.
• Memorial page content: texts, photos and messages posted by you or your guests.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited.

Why we process it

To show you funeral homes and prices in your area, forward your request to the funeral home you choose, maintain your account, answer support questions and improve the platform with aggregated, non-personal statistics.

We don't sell personal data and we don't use it for ad targeting on third-party platforms.

Legal basis

• Performance of a contract: when you create an account or send a request to a funeral home.
• Consent: for non-essential cookies and newsletters.
• Legitimate interest: for platform security and service improvement.
• Legal obligation: when required by tax or other legislation.

Who we share it with

With the funeral home you choose, so it can contact you. With providers operating on our behalf under a confidentiality agreement: hosting, email delivery, analytics, payments. With authorities, only where there is a legal obligation.

When a provider is located outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is made under standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Contact requests are kept for 24 months. Account details for as long as the account is active and for 12 months after its deletion. Tax records for as long as the law requires. Technical logs for 12 months.

Cookies

We use three categories of cookies:

• Essential: keep you logged in, hold the cart and security choices. Cannot be turned off.
• Analytics: show us how many visitors reach each page, in aggregate form.
• Preferences: remember your language and area.

You can delete or block cookies from your browser settings. If you block the essential ones, some features won't work.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data, the right to object to processing and the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

Send your request to info@theonorapp.com and we reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

Security

Data is transferred encrypted. Access to data is limited to the staff who need it and is logged. Passwords are stored only in hashed form.

Changes to this policy

If something material changes, we update this page and, where needed, notify you by email before the change takes effect.
